August 3, 2013 WOW where has time gone!

So I can't believe it's already August, school is starting and the year is half over.....  Looking back over these last few months we have had a wonderful summer!  We had my niece's graduation, my parents came to visit me for the first time, we traveled to Michigan, and back to Jacksonville, FL to find a location for our future Chiropractic office.  I have to say it's been a wonderful adventure so far.....

Sierra graduation from high school in May 2013, we had such a beautiful time at her party, so glad we were able to be there!

Me and my sister haven't seen her in years, grateful for the day together!

Aunt Tammy and Tyler

Sierra and Tyler, these two have been together for their entire lives, and even though they live in different states you would never know because they behave like they see each other daily.
True cousin love!

Never a dull moment with these two, and always a smile on everyone's face when they start their silly, crazy games!

Papa and Grammie with Sierra

A wreath like no other!

Crazy how the month of April has flown by, I've been so busy with work and school.....  I decided to get ahead on some of my creative crafts and wanted to share with you what I have been up too for the last couple days...  Inspiration hit when I received my paper source magazine after looking at that I was sold.....

I love using my Silhouette Cameo, it made this project so fun and very cost effective!  I already had the 3d peony flower in my library, so I just sized the flowers to what I wanted and then she was off cutting away :-)

I used bazzill cards stock for each of the flowers along with the leaves.  I also used the McGill kit to roll the flower edges creating the curling effect, works like a charm every time!

I layered them and used my awesomeness craft glue to put the flowers together adding a touch of fun crystal stickles to create that bling effect I love so much.....

I ended up with an extra flower which I'm going to turn into a pin to wear on  my apron at my work....  Easy to do when I work at Archiver's scrapbook store :-)  I hope you enjoy my fast, fun post!
Have a blessed week and remember to Choose Joy, your life depends on it peeps!

Stepping out of the box we create!

So many times when I'm scrapbooking I tell myself I'm more of a scrap lifter and I really can't create!  I had a wake up call this past week when working a co-worker said "you need to not think like that!  Anyone can create just give yourself the ok to do it."  Working at Archiver's a scrapbook store I thought it was about time to take a chance and see what happens.....
I had so much fun just creating this layout!  There was no stress I just sat down and decided to create a page about "me" :-)
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the butterflies out onto the cardstock giving it the 3d effect!  Another thing new I learned :-)
Creating with the Maggie Holmes line was simply awesome!  The fun fabric frames worked out so well on this layout!
It has always been amazing to me the limits we put on ourselves.  We can do anything we put our minds too, and I'm grateful to Angela at Archiver's for helping me to see I too can create I just have to let myself try.....

I pray everyone has a super blessed week!  Remember to "Choose Joy"

Happy Birthday Tyler!

Happy Birthday Tyler!  I can't believe my son is 19 years old....  Time flies so fast!  I started to look at some of my very old scrapbooks and pictures of him, ya know a trip down memory lane :-)  Here are a few of my favorites......
Even at eight years old the focus and determination was in the first set of scrapbook pages I created!

One thing about Tyler was his gift at football, this was his dad praying for him before a game, our friend snapped the shot yet had no idea they were praying....  Priceless photos!

Here he is graduating, May 2012, this will be a day I remember forever!  All the hard work and sacrifice that went into helping him succeed and complete this chapter in his life!

HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY!!  Always have to be doing something crazy, it wouldn't be normal if it didn't have goofiness in it!

Make the memories that will stay with you forever, even in hard times, pray and choose joy!  It will be worth it when you look back, Love you son!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is such a reminder of all the love we carry with us daily but might not express it...  I use to look at it as just another Hallmark Holiday but as I grow older I'm appreciating all the wonderful things that happen all around me.....

A sweet blessing from a group of ladies that crop at the store I work at....

My pretty made me a special card......

My husband wrote me the greatest love letter telling me his dreams for us and our future.....

A little gift for my pretty.....

A text from my oldest son wishing us all a Happy Valentine's Day!

A little something hanging in my home reminding my family how wonderful they all are....  Yea, I know proper english is you're but that was not the tone I was going for...  :-)

Time goes by......

Wow!  Time has flown since my last post.  Well the New Year started off with a bang, I caught the flu....  I have not been sick in quite some time, but with plenty of rest and several different supplements I recovered pretty fast :-)  We spent New Years in Jacksonville, Florida with our best friends it's so awesome to have been blessed with such special people in our lives.....  I will be forever grateful!  I will be posting some new craft creations I'm working on so stay tuned..... And remember to Choose Joy!!
